 Weblogs is described an interesting teaching technique whereby students document their learning activities and learning results in a concurrent journal.

 According to the author weblogs has the potential of converting technology to teaching and learning in education, as it is easier to set it up and administrate it in contrast to other technologies. Weblogs allow teachers to publish lot of information from all types of resources in just one click, and it easier to make and maintain it. Weblogs have the ability to reach a large audience without losing information quality and allowing for different levels of detail.  With weblog student can have access to their assessment anywhere and anytime. Weblog opens a plat form where student can have a discussion about their school work and other important things that affect them as students. Weblog production and consumption can help student place the various emerging hypertext variations with older media in the broader context of media ecology. The use of weblog can also stimulate student interest in larger nation of the social construction of information as well as presentation of self, as student explicitly link to each other’s works in a format that fosters currency, independence, and critical comment.

My experience on using the weblog as a student it wasn’t difficult for me as I was familiar with technology. The introduction of weblog makes things easier for us as student, because it is used as a learning tool which makes learning to take place everywhere. Weblog helped me to connect with other student and be able to share my thoughts with them. The discussions we have in weblogs promote our levels of thinking, because people can think before answering back.

Weblogs could be improved by frequent usage, blogging up stories and sharing experiences with friends, so that they could comment on each other’s blogs and make it fun. Weblogs should be free to use especially for students and learners. The government should provide disadvantaged schools with computers or laptops so that they can use weblog as a tool of learning. Also provide training programs that will teach people how to use weblog.
